Juliette Binoche Talks About "Cosmopolis" and Robert with Art Info

Juliette Binoche Talks About "Cosmopolis" and Robert with Art Info

I’ve seen a little bit of you in “Cosmopolis.” You’re in the car, wearing a little black dress, making out with Robert Pattinson. Who do you play?
I play an art dealer who’s been a lover of Robert Pattinson’s character for a few years. Throughout the whole film she has this kind of sexual moment that Cronenberg always puts in his films. Then at the end she’s feeling alone and left out. I don’t know how long the scene is – maybe four minutes – but it’s like a lifetime, a relationship kind of starting and ending.

Was it exciting working with Cronenberg?
Yes, though it was only two days shooting. It’s always interesting wondering whether you’re being taken into a film, or whether you’re taking the director into it. When you work with great directors, you never know who starts it. Being stuck in a limo means you have to use your imagination. So Cronenberg played Robert in one spot and after that he let me do what I wanted, and when he was satisfied we stuck with that. He was precise language-wise, but otherwise he let me be, emotionally. It was good.

'Snow White And The Huntsman' Sequel In The Works?

'Snow White And The Huntsman' Sequel In The Works?
It's more than a month until first Kristen Stewart film is released, but David Koepp is reportedly in talks to pen a sequel script.

Despite the fact that we're still a little more than a month away from the release of "Snow White and the Huntsman," there are already rumblings of a sequel.

According to Deadline, Universal has apparently already begun talking to screenwriter David Koepp about writing a sequel to the film, which is one of this summer's most highly anticipated movies. Koepp certainly has enough credibility in drafting scripts for big blockbusters: He has screenplay credits on "Jurassic Park," "Mission: Impossible," "Spider-Man," "War of the Worlds" and "Men in Black III."

Naturally, we don't know what happens to the characters over the course of the film, but star Kristen Stewart has already expressed interest in reprising her role as the titular Snow White.

"To be totally candid and honest with you, when I first signed on to this thing, the idea of doing another franchise was like, 'Wow, [we'll] cross that bridge when it comes.' It was something so far outside my realm of thinking," she told MTV News when asked if she'd be game for more action and adventure as the fairest one of all. "I was so focused on the first one, and I thought, 'Maybe, maybe,' but I've got stars in my eyes. I'm literally over the moon about what I'm doing right now," she said of her work on "Huntsman." "Yes, I would love to [do more 'Snow White' films]."

"Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders is reportedly Universal's choice to helm the sequel if it happens, and judging from his positive comments about working with Stewart, it seems likely the pair could team up again.

"Kristen is a very driven, visceral, intuitive actress. From a director's point of view, it's great to get into her headspace," Sanders said. "We did a lot of work together on the script and character, and she really helped inform me how that character was feeling, which really helped my process getting the character onscreen. Kristen was doing a lot of her stunt work, she was riding horses, she was jumping from high precipices into freezing cold water, she was fighting dwarves — she's gung-ho."

Who should play Mick Jagger and Keith Richards? (Robert Mentions)

Who should play Mick Jagger and Keith Richards?

The Rolling Stones' "Exile on Main St." was released in 1972, the year both Mick Jagger and Keith Richards turned 29.

Who would your choice be to portray the iconic duo for the film version of the book "Exile on Main St.: A Season in Hell With the Rolling Stones"?

Click on the names above to compare the actors Times pop music critic Randall Roberts would send to the casting call.

When the Rolling Stones guitarist was working on "Exile," he was recording in a big basement and not seeing much direct sunlight, so a pale, vampiric actor such as Robert Pattinson might be a good, safe choice.

Certainly this casting would please the ladies (but depress the Stones fans).

Kristen Stewart to star in action film 'Cali'

Kristen Stewart to star in action film 'Cali'
'Snow White' actress boards Voltage pic from Michael Diliberti

"Snow White and the Huntsman" star Kristen Stewart is set to topline "Cali," a gritty action pic set in Los Angeles that will be produced by Voltage Productions and New School Media.

Michael Diliberti ("30 Minutes or Less") wrote the script, which follows Mya (Stewart) and Chris, a pair of San Fernando Valley lovebirds with a penchant for bad choices and dangerous behavior. After selling a fake snuff film featuring Mya, they ride off into the sunset with a bundle of cash. Years later, Mya must "return from the dead" to save the younger sister she left behind in Cali, where the young couple contends with angry former business partners, homicidal porn stars, stoner vet techs, an unstoppable killing machine in a cowboy hat and their own contentious relationship.

Craig J. Flores ("300") and Zev Foreman ("Killer Joe") will produce for Voltage, while Diliberti will also produce. His manager, Brian Levy of New School Media, will exec produce with Voltage topper Nicolas Chartier ("The Hurt Locker") and Stewart, who will pick up her first producing credit on the project.

Juliette Binoche Talks about "Cosmopolis" and Robert with Vanity Fair

Juliette Binoche Talks about "Cosmopolis" and Robert with Vanity Fair

Let’s talk about your upcoming David Cronenberg–directed film, Cosmopolis, which stars Robert Pattinson. What’s your role?
I’m an art dealer. I only shot two days. The whole film takes place in a car. There are some scenes outside, but mostly it takes place in a limo. Cronenberg placed Robert on one seat, and I was the mover in the scene, so he let me improvise. It was fascinating to see how they would take time to light the car. It was like an art form almost, a painting. His [cinematographer], Peter Suschitzky, is very precise in that way.
Robert was stunned to be taken by Cronenberg, because he didn’t think he could do it. But Cronenberg believed in him. It’s amazing—a director sometimes makes you do bigger things than you imagine. You need to have, like, a midwife to give birth. You need this midwife in order to grow, and imagine these new layers in yourself.

Rupert Sanders Talks about Kristen and "SWATH"

The Director: Rupert Sanders bleeds for 'Snow White and the Huntsman'

Early in"Snow White and the Huntsman,"several droplets of blood fall to the frozen ground in extreme slow motion, a sample not only of the menace to follow but also of first-time director Rupert Sanders' truly painstaking attention to detail.

The shot was the last sequence filmed by the veteran commercial director, and no matter how hard the crew tried, the production's artificial serum never had the proper viscosity or splatter. "It just looked like raspberry jam," Sanders said. So Sanders insisted that a crew member draw about 10 teaspoons of the director's own blood in a syringe, and that's what audiences will see when "Snow White" opens June 1.

What is indisputably an extreme example of show business sacrifice highlights the precision of Sanders' creative style. The 41-year-old Brit's advertisements for the video game Halo 3: ODST, Sears and Toyota have captured numerous awards for their sophisticated cinematic looks, and Sanders cemented the "Snow White" directing job based on a commercial-length preview of his take on the fable about beauty and vanity — think more Brothers Grimm, less Walt Disney.

Charlize Theron Talks About Kristen with Access Hollywood

Charlize Theron Talks About Kristen with Access Hollywood

Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart have become the best of friends since playing mortal enemies in the upcoming “Snow White and the Huntsman” – so much so, that Charlize says she’d do just about anything for the “Twilight Saga” star.

“I really, I really, really love that girl. I love that girl, like, I would jump off a building for that girl,” Charlize, 36, told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush at CinemaCon 2012 in Las Vegas when asked about Kristen. “She’s amazing, she’s amazing. She’s the real deal… [and] she gives really good back rubs.”
And the lovefest didn’t stop there!

In addition to KStew’s apparent massage skills, Charlize admires the 22-year-old actress’ acting ability and dedication.

“[Kristen] is the kind of actor that I like to be around because there’s nothing she’d really stop at in order to do the job,” Charlize explained. “She’s got a tremendous amount of talent and, you know, I think you can have talent, but if you don’t have tenacity and moxy… She’s bad ass.”

While Kristen may be a “bad ass” off-screen, Charlize plays an on-screen bad ass (or bad apple?) in “…Huntsman,” as the evil Queen Ravenna – a role the actress wanted to make as chilling as possible.

“I didn’t want to do this if we didn’t go all the way,” she told Billy. “I felt like there was such a great opportunity here to really kind of delve in and do something that, I don’t know, reminded me of like, Jack Nicholson in ‘The Shining’ or just something that really was grounded in reality.

“It was a madness that you understood and then just go with it,” she added. “So, yeah, I was really lucky to have been given the opportunity.”

See best pals Charlize and Kristen, along with Chris Hemsworth, in “Snow White and the Huntsman” – in theaters on June 1.

Jackson Rathbone Talks Fans, 'Cowgirls n' Angels' at Dallas International Film Festival

Jackson Rathbone Talks Fans, 'Cowgirls n' Angels' at Dallas International Film Festival

Jackson Rathbone is known worldwide as vampire Jasper Hale in the "The Twilight Saga." He's quickly making a name for himself outside of that sunsetting franchise.

Rathbone has two movies in post-production right now, one, "Cowgirls n' Angels," coming out May 25. I had the opportunity to interview Rathbone at the Dallas International Film Festival, where the film made its U.S. premiere.

What was the biggest challenge for you filming the movie?
I think the biggest challenge for me was deciphering the difference between the Oklahoma and Texas accents. Now there's a difference even in just regions. You have to be careful with that. There's a little rivalry between Oklahoma and Texas. The biggest challenge for me was taking my Texas self out a little bit.
