Mike Newell Mentions Robert with Be The Red Carpet

Mike Newell Mentions Robert with Be The Red Carpet

You worked with Robert Pattinson before he was the Robert Pattinson. Do you think you have an eye for talent?
Erm. I don’t know if I do, he was obviously really good for that movie, he looks like the kind of fighter pilot, the head boy who will go out into the trenches on his second day. He just had that thing. He is a brilliant vampire! He’s reqally good, he’s a sweet guy and he’s a clever guy, he’s not a dope at all!

Jeff Rawle Talks About Working with Robert in Harry Potter

Jeff Rawle Talks About Working with Robert in Harry Potter

In the Harry Potter films, you played Amos Diggory, dad to Robert Pattinson's character, Cedric. Did you enjoy that?
Well, that was a casting problem for the films, you see. They had to find someone as good-looking as Robert to play his father, so they said, "Let's get Jeff Rawle"" Robert seemed happy enough to go along with it - he's such a sweet boy and has gone on to have fantastic success. We spent a lot of time together on set, and had great fun.

ET Flashback '05: Robert Pattinson

ET Flashback '05: Robert Pattinson

Before Robert Pattinson was romancing Reese Witherspoon in 'Water for Elephants' or the mysterious Edward Cullen in 'Twilight,' he played a pivotal role in two 'Harry Potter' movies.

Robert played Quiddich captain and Triwizard Tournament contender Cedric Diggory in 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' and 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,' the latter in which he comes to an untimely end at the hands of Voldemort. When asked by ET in 2005 about his thoughts of becoming a teen idol, he laughed, "I think about it all the time! No, I don't -- it's impossible to think what it's going to be like, because I've never been hugely popular or anything in my life, so it's going to be weird. I hope I get a bit of an ego afterwards!"

Five Reasons the Harry Potter Movies Are Better Than the Books

Five Reasons the Harry Potter Movies Are (Gasp!) Better Than the Books

Is it wrong to admit you want to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 even more than you wanted to read the final adventure? Not here it isn't.

Being confirmed contrarians, we asked lovers of J.K. Rowling's text to give us instances where the Potter movies are actually better than the books. And, probably against their better judgment, they did!

Top 10 'Harry Potter' Hotties: The Crush Compilation (Rob mentions)

Top 10 'Harry Potter' Hotties: The Crush Compilation (Rob mentions)

2. Robert Pattinson

We would be remiss if RPattz didn’t make it on our list, and—prepare your rotten veggies—I’ll be the first to admit that I definitely think he ismuch hotter as Cedric Diggory than he is as Edward Cullen. Plus he has one of the top five most heartbreaking deaths in “Harry Potter” history, which earns him a top spot on this list. His death scene made me cry more than Sirius Black’s, and that’s saying something.

'Harry Potter' Stars Then and Now

'Harry Potter' Stars Then and Now

5. Robert Pattinson: Cedric Diggory
Robert Pattinson's best known as Edward in Twilight now, but before he played a vampire he graced the screen with his moppy hair and good looks in two Harry Potter flicks: Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix. He starred as Cedric Diggory, a Hufflepuff student and house Quidditch captain before he's killed off by Peter Pettigrew.

Rob Mentions on ''Harry Potter : Red Carpet Recap''

''Harry Potter : Red Carpet Recap''

Robert Pattinson
R.Pattz looks a tad disheveled at the L.A. premiere in 2007, but to be fair, the onetime Cedric Diggory was shooting on another popular book turned movie franchise at the time.
