Kristen Stewart talks stripper role in 'Welcome to the Rileys', says pole dancing hurts

Kristen Stewart plays a teen stripper and prostitute in New Orleans in the new film Welcome to the Rileys and the Twilight actress says she found pole dancing fun but that it left quite a mark.

"It hurts a lot, actually," the 20-year-old said on Live with Regis and Kelly on Tuesday. "I had bruises all over my legs."
She said she is not seen pole-dancing in the film but that she took lessons for two weeks to prepare for the role. Welcome to the Rileys is set for release on November 10 and also stars James Gandolfini of The Sopranos.

"Everybody was so intimidated by him, it was so weird," Stewart said.

Meanwhile, the actress, who usually appears slim, dyed her hair back from reddish blonde to her more familiar brown color and has begun a healthier diet to prepare for her upcoming part as Bella Swan in the final installment of the Twilight vampire saga, Breaking Dawn, which she said she would begin filming in November and finish shooting around May.

Welcome to the Rileys director Jake Scott told People magazine that Stewart "ate badly," "smoked tons of cigarettes" and "stayed up late" while filming his movie as she "embraced the habitual nature of the character."

"It's kind of embarrassing," Stewart told People. "But I'm playing a vampire soon. I eat disgustingly normally. And so, right now, I’m trying to not put so much butter in my food and stuff like that."
