At least as of this writing, that’s the going rate for the ultimate gift for affluent Team Edward devotees: A visit to the set of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn and a brief meet-and-greet with Robert Pattinson.
The package is one of the highest-profile lots currently listed on the auction site CharityBuzz, where readers bid on set visits, party invitations, celebrity lunch dates and other opportunities of varying exclusivity. It allows for a party of four to meet Pattinson in Vancouver, where a two-night hotel stay is included; less appealing details include signing a a mandatory non-disclosure agreement and leaving your camera at home (a photographer will be provided on the set). Journalists and other press professionals are explicitly prohibited from attending, which hilariously implies we or our employers have tens of thousands of dollars of disposable income hanging around for a few silly minutes on studio turf and bit of face time with R-Pattz. That’s what junkets are for!
Anyway, proceeds benefit the GO Camapign, a charity that helps needy kids around the world, so maybe there’s a tax write-off in this — not to mention the undying appreciation of the Twihard in your life. Everyone wins!
