MTV First: Robert Pattinson' Countdown: Rob and Kristen MTV Movie Awards Smooch
The celebration of All Things RPattz continues today at MTV, as we count down the hours until Pattzageddon (a.k.a. the moment when Robert Pattinson arrives to give us an exclusive look at his new film "Water for Elephants" and answer fan-submitted questions live on camera). And while we wait, we're digging through our extensive video archive to find our five biggest, bestest, most favorite-est moments with Rob since he first came on our radar in 2008.
Yesterday's video was a nostalgic blast from the past, as we revisited our very first meeting with The Man Who Would Be Edward Cullen. Today, though, we're skipping ahead to 2010—a time when "The Twilight Saga" fan fury had hit its full stride, and Rob's passionate "New Moon" make out with Kristen Stewart won the MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss. The music swelled, the pair ascended the stage, and...well, just watch.
Rob and Kristen had already won in this category the previous year—a victory they capped off with a passionate, sensual snogfest on-stage... PSYCH! Actually, they totally faked out the audience by leaning in, touching noses and then fleeing the scene without so much as a hint of lip contact. So with tensions and expectations running high, the pair vowed that this year, they would, in fact, celebrate the award by actually kissing each other.
Which they did!
Sort of.
After several false starts, a series of stubbed toes, and one very bad word. But it was totally worth it —and our No. 4 favorite video moment in RPattz history!
Tune in to "MTV First: Robert Pattinson" on MTV and MTV.com this Friday at 8:56 p.m. ET!
