'MTV First: Robert Pattinson' Countdown: Rob Talks Oddest 'Twilight' Merchandise
The 30-minute interview you've been waiting for is almost here! Yes, MTV's one-on-one with Robert Pattinson is tomorrow! RPattz is stopping by to premiere a new clip from "Water for Elephants" and answer fan questions live on camera. (Insert collective squeal.) And with his presence imminent, that brings us to No. 2 on our countdown of greatest MTV Robert moments.
We already reveled in the joy of his first "Twilight" interview, his now-famous smooch at the MTV Movie Awards and his first Oscar appearance. And that brings us to this moment—glitter lube. (Shy readers, avert your eyes!)
As you know, after the vampire romance became an overnight success, "Twilight"-themed merchandise found its way to a store near you. Clothing, jewelry, costumes, makeup, posters, etc. You can buy pretty much anything bearing the "Twilight" name. And that brings us to glitter lube.
When Rob was promoting "Eclipse" last spring, we asked what product most entertained and perplexed him. This is the answer we got:
"I like the glitter lube stuff. I thought that was really funny," he said, laughing. "I was just like, 'I did not sign that! Where is the paper?' I think, yeah, I'm pretty sure it's glitter—I think it's lube."
He continued to joke about the, um, product saying, "I've got a dispenser. I just have it on my hands. 'Yeah, it's nice to meet you!' and it's like, 'Wow! It works!'"
Oh, Rob. Who knew a chat about lube could be so endearing?
