Solo Project Spotlight: Jackson Rathbone's Band '100 Monkeys'
From movie star to rock star, you may recognize Jackson Rathbone as Jasper in the Twilight Saga among other movies such as The Last Airbender.
Rathbone not only is a successful and talented actor, he also is one part of a five man band called, 100 Monkeys. The band formed just a few years ago and are based in Los Angeles, California. Members include Jackson Rathbone, Ben Graupner, Jerad Anderson, Lawrence Abrams, and Ben Johnson. You can see pics of the band playing live (and looking very hot) HERE.
According to the band's official site, they describe the term 100 Monkeys as:
the hundredth monkey effect generally describes the instant, paranormal spreading of an idea or ability to the remainder of a population once a certain portion of that population has heard of the new idea or learned the new ability… hmm.
100 Monkeys has an extensive discography releasing various singles such as "Ugly Girl", "Wasteland Too", and "Kolpix". The band made their official debut in 2009 with the release of their first full-length album, Grape. 100 Monkeys will be releasing their sophomore release, Liquid Zoo, to kick off the summer on June 28.

100 Monkeys is unlike any band I've heard today, bringing a new fresh sound that makes listeners think they've been thrown straight into a blues concert. I like the old school sound and the kick backed feeling 100 Monkeys has in every single one of their songs. It's really the perfect set of tunes to just relax and cruise in the sun.
