GIRLFRIEND will screen at Columbia University Film School, followed by a discussion with writer/director Justin Lerner, as part of their Carla Kuhn Memorial Speaker Series in which the world's foremost filmmakers visit the Film Program to screen their most recent work and afterwards engage in discussions with students.
Most recently hosted were such luminaries as Werner Herzog, Aaron Sorkin, Darren Aronofsky, Sofia Coppola, Charlie Kaufman, Lisa Cholodenko ('97SOA), Chris Doyle, Isaac Julien, Paul Haggis, Alexander Payne, Jesse Eisenberg, Joe Wright, Rod Lurie, Tanya Hamilton and Peter Riegert.
