Behind-The-Scenes Deets of Kristen Stewart’s Snow White & The Huntsman

Behind-The-Scenes Deets of Kristen Stewart’s Snow White & The Huntsman

What if we told you that we got to go a movie set? And meet Kristen Stewart? In London, England? You’d probably be all jealous and whatever, but hear us out — we’re sharing the deets. Yes! Telling you, loyal readers, all about our visit to the set of Snow White & The Huntsman and our hang-out sesh with KStew and her castmates, Chris Hemsworth and Sam Claflin! Today we’ve got the first installment, which is a five-part play-by-play of our time on the SWATH set (literally, very detailed, you’ll love), but all week long we’ll be giving you exclusive interviews, photos, and pretty much everything else you can imagine on the movie. We know. The things we do for you guys.

So before the flick hits theaters in June, we’ve got pretty much everything you’ll need to know about it. Ready, and….

Part One: Just Hanging out in a Trailer with Sam Claflin. NBD.
We began our British journey with a trek to legitimately the middle of nowhere – but it was all worth it because there we got to hang out with Sam Claflin aka the movie’s Prince William aka Hottie #1 of Snow White & The Huntsman. It was freakin’ FREEZING outside, so myself and all the other reporters all huddled up in a random trailer on-set to interview him (that’s coming soon so stay tuned!). Yes, I was 3 feet away from him. Be jeals.

After that happened, we got to watch him film a scene (outdoors, ugh), that involved the woods and horses and some jumping. Unfortch can’t reveal more than that, but I can tell you this… as we were heading back to our bus (where the driver drove ON THE RIGHT SIDE! HOW WEIRD?!), Sam said to us, “See ya lay-tah!” in that sexy British accent of his. Ugh. Only in my dreams, dude.

Part Two: A Set of the Costumes with Colleen Atwood!
And then, it was back on the bus as we drove to a more, um, civilized location – the infamous Pinewood Studios (like Universal Studios, but way more British). Our first stop was a tour of the costume closet – um, more like factory – with the movie’s costume designer Colleen Atwood. Just imagine the coolest fashion closet at your favorite magazine, but 8,000 times bigger and from 8 centuries earlier. You envision it? Ok. So we got to see everything in there from the tons of dresses Kristen would wear (there’s at least a dozen of each outfit, FYI), to the factory where Colleen’s peeps made 2,000+ costumes for all the extras. Wowza.

Oh, and my personal fave part was a tour of the room where seamstresses were sewing away on the gorgeous, intricate gowns that Charlize Theron, aka the Queen wore. Just wait till you see those babies and hear what Colleen had to say about all the handiwork that went into ‘em.

Part Three: Hair, Makeup, And Oh Yeah, The CASTLE!
Then there we were, just chillin’ (literally) at Pinewood and eating the free food at craft service when we saw the hair dude, Lucca, and the makeup artist, Sharon, who told us all about their inspiration for the looks in the movie, which was kinda cool.

But then we head on over to tour the castle set and it was like we were in Lord of the Rings or something. The castle is Ravena’s, aka Charlize Theron’s, and the tour guide slash publicist slash cool British lady told us the castle took 6 months to build for the 2 weeks they filmed there. That’s Kristen kicking butt in the castle right here, FYI:

Part Four: A Hangout Sesh in the Woods with Chris Hemsworth
Now it was to the “Black Woods” we went (Google it if you’re curious) where things got really exciting. Besides the fact that I was shivering and really wishing I had packed a ski suit in my suitcase, I didn’t even care because we got to stand on the sidelines as Kristen and Chris filmed a scene together. The scene involved them hanging upside down from a tree, and it was the one that you may have heard about when Kristen accidentally punched Chris in the face. Yes. I witnessed that first hand. I’m cool now.

So after lots of waiting around as we watched Snow White, the Huntsman and the seven dwarves do their thing, Chris came over to us for an amazing, albeit brief interview. You’ll have to stay tuned for the interview, but let’s just say I asked him if he would be shirtless in the movie. Ha. Got ya. Now you have to come back…

Part Five: Hanging Out in Kristen Stewart’s Trailer
Now you’re prob all like, “wait, why did you talk to Chris and not Kristen?” Well, dear readers, that is because we wanted more time with Kristen. MORE TIME WITH KRISTEN! So by now it’s like, end of day and Kristen had to go change out of her Snow White outfit into her usual converse, jeans, hoodie ensemb. So we’re all standing around her in the middle of the parking lot asking Kristen questions, but she felt weird and “put on the spot” so she invites us into her trailer to do the interview. Well, don’t mind if I do…

I was secretly hoping Robert Pattinson was hiding in the closet there or something, but nah. Regardless, though, I got a front row seat next to Kristen, mostly so I could stare at how gorgeous she is and, ya know, get my questions in, of course. You’ll have to wait for that interview too (sorry!), but I’ll leave you with this – Kstew is cooler in person than I thought. She’s awkward and sorta quiet and smokes like a chimney, but she rocks. I even left the trailer telling her The Runaways was my fave of her movies (cause it really is), and she said, “Thank you so much! That’s so awesome.” I think she was just happy I didn’t say Eclipse.

But you know what? Pretty sure Snow White & The Huntsman will be replacing The Runaways as my fave Kristen Stewart flick. And not just because I saw the actual set or got to meet the cast, or because I saw the trailer. But because it genuinely looks amazing. You think so too, right?!

So that’s all you’re getting for now, people, but make sure to check back on Teen.com every day at 4:30pm EST all week long for exclusives with Sam, Chris, Colleen and Kristen! Cannot wait till this movie comes out in June.
