Robert Pattinson Goes Nuts in Disturbing New Trailer for David Cronenberg's 'Cosmopolis'
Now here's an upcoming film that will unite (at least) two decidedly different types of movie geeks: the old-school David Cronenberg junkies and the rabid Robert Pattinson supporters. I have no problem with that, especially after witnessing the semi-nightmarish teaser trailer for Cosmopolis, which is based on the novel by Don DeLillo and also stars the likes of Samantha Morton, Paul Giamatti, Juliette Binoche, and Jay Baruchel. Also here's the new poster.
The IMDb describes the movie like so: "a multimillionaire on a 24-hour odyssey across Manhattan," and since I haven't read the book, I'd prefer to know as little about this flick as possible. (For a bit more info, check out Twitchfilm, which is where I first caught this teaser.) Cosmopolis does not have a U.S. distributor just yet, but given the loyal fan-bases of Cronenberg, Pattinson, and mind-bendy movies in general, it'll probably be a big name like Sony or Paramount. A Cannes premiere is pretty much a given.
