Pattinson, from a poor man to a milionaire seducer.
Waiting for the final installement of the Twilight Saga: Breaking
Dawn part 2, that will be released next november , Robert Pattinson
seems to show to us that he doesn’t want to be always that pale vampire
who has made him a worldwide star. From 13th of April, he will be on
theatre with Bel Ami by Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod, a story with a
young, penniless and ambitious seducer of the Guy de Maupassant novel.
Besides, apparently, he should be at Festival of Cannes with Cosmopolis
by David Cronenberg, from Don DeLillo novel, where a cynic
multimillionare faces a long day of fears, desires and unexpected
adventures. Bel Ami, (the producer,
Umberto Pasolini, and the director of photografy, Stefano Falivene are
italians), is a coproduction of 9 milions of euro and it is directed by
Donnellan and Ormerod, who have a big experience on theatres, and they
make their’s debut on the big screen; it has been released first at
Berlin Festival. It is the story about Georges Duroy, a handsome
soldier, annoyed and penniless, that at the end of ‘800 is able to gain
money and enter the high society; he exploits and is being exploited by
the women of the high society (it don’t lack of some hot scenes). There
is the brilliant and calculating Madeleine (Uma Thurman), his old fellow Charles Forestier (Philip Glenister) wife, become a politics reporter of a daily newspaper
that helps him to become a journalist; the sensitive Clotilde
(Christina Ricci), wife and mother, that doesn’t tolerate her marriage
of convenience anymore; the repressed Virginie (Kristin Scott-Thomas),
the newspaper director’s wife where he works, and her daughter Suzanne
(Holliday Granger), in search of transgression. “Being Georges has been
very funny because he is unmanageable”, Pattinson said in the
interviews.
