More "Water For Elephants" Trailer #2 Reviews
20th Century Fox has released a new trailer for Water for Elephants, the adaptation of the Sara Gruen novel of the same name directed by Francis Lawrence (I Am Legend). Robert Pattinson stars “a penniless and recently-orphaned veterinary school student [who] parlays his expertise with animals into a job with a second-rate traveling circus.” He falls in love with one the star performers (Reese Witherspoon), who unfortunately happens to be married to an unbalanced ringleader (Christoph Waltz).
The new trailer showcases a lot of new footage not seen in the first trailer or this international trailer. I really like the look of the production design. Water for Elephants has the potential to be a nice surprise when it opens April 22.
The newest Water for Elephants trailer is here! Watch the Water for Elephants trailer, available at Amazon.com after it aired during American Idol.
The Water for the Elephants trailer offers up even more goodies about Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon’s romance – if you wanted to see Water for Elephants before, you’ll really want to see it after watching this new trailer!
This is going to sound like an attack on Reese Witherspoon, but it’s not. Hear me out. While Hollywood often tries to cast her as the romantic lead in whatever generic, meet cute they’re cooking up, Reese Witherspoon will never belong in those films. It’s her look. It just isn’t Hollywood. She’s pretty, but not in the way most actresses are pretty. She’s pretty in the way the hottest girl in the Ozarks might be pretty. Her look isn’t glamour or glitz, maybe that’s why she’s done her best work playing the plainest of the plain, like Walk the Line’s June Carter Cash. What I’m getting at is that Reese Witherspoon belongs in a circus.
In Water for Elephants she’ll play the hottest girl in a traveling circus sideshow, and in this new trailer for the film, I buy it. I wouldn’t buy it if this part were played by Rachel McAdams, or Scarlett Johansson, or just about anyone else except Salma Hayek who can do wonders while wearing facial hair. I buy it when it’s Reese Witherspoon.
I also buy Christoph Waltz as the man behind the circus tent. He’s playing another villain, clearly he’s typecast, but at least he’s really good at playing villains. Did you see Green Hornet? Waltz was better than average there.
The circus like you've never seen it before: sexy.
A new trailer for the upcoming film, "Water For Elephants," has hit the web, notching up the steam and teasing viewers even more to the passionate affair between stars Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon. We get a quick preview of love scenes -- which the pair talked about here -- and oh, even learn more about the story.
If you haven't read the best selling book on which it's based, here are the spoiler free basics: Pattinson plays a student whose parents tragically die. He runs away from home -- which is now empty -- looking for a new life, and finds work in a traveling circus run by Christoph Waltz's character. The two become friends at first. Hint: Reese has said Rob is very handsome.
Another trailer for "Water for Elephants" has been made available. Courtesy of Amazon, this brand new promo video offers a sneak peek at the back story of Robert Pattinson's Jacob Jankowski as it opens with scenes wherein the veterinary student learns about the tragic fate of his parents.
This fresh trailer reels in a much darker tone if compared to ones released earlier. Its focus is to give out more of the tension and conflict that come about when the main characters find themselves getting entangled in a love triangle. Though so, it still manages to slip in some romantic moments between Jacob and Marlena.
In addition to the new trailer, a behind-the-scenes video for the drama movie has been shared by Access Hollywood. While most of the scenes featured are similar to those shown in the trailer, this video takes viewers to take a peek at the filming of the scene that sees Jacob and Marlena dancing together.
Directed by Francis Lawrence, "Water for Elephants" follows Jacob Jankowski during the Great Depression. Penniless and recently-orphaned, he parlays his expertise with animals into a job with a second-rate traveling circus, and falls in love with Marlena, one of the show's star performers. But, their romance is complicated by Marlena's charismatic but twisted husband.
Based on Sara Gruen's novel of the same name, this drama film has been set to open wide in theaters across the United States on April 22. It is supported by a cast ensemble that include Reese Witherspoon, Christoph Waltz and Hal Holbrook. Reese plays Marlena, Christoph stars as August and Hal takes the role of the older Jacob.
The second trailer for Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon's "Water For Elephants" debuted during the Mar. 3 episode of "American Idol" and fans baited by the dramatic promo will be happy to know that it hits theaters April 22.
Based on a novel of the same name, by Sara Gruen, "Elephants" finds Pattinson and Witherspoon as star-crossed lovers in an early-twentieth-century traveling circus. Their obstacle? Hollywood's new go-to villain, Christoph Waltz.
Trailer 2 marks a big improvement from the first -- which was a little too big top and a not enough "epic love" for our tastes.
We're also a lot more excited for the movie now that we know how well Pattinson got along with his elephant co-star. More elephant!
From Vampire heart throb to traveling circus, Robert Pattinson teams up with Reese Witherspoon for Frances Lawrence’s adaptation of the book ‘Water for Elephants’, a novel by Sara Gruen. Trailers often work effectively to get audiences primed to receive new movies, however the latest ‘Water for Elephants’ trailer is garnering quite a bit of attention. Reviewers are calling the new trailer ‘fantastic’, and ‘phenomenal’, and it has us hoping that the movie can live up to the trailer…
The brand new trailer is available at Amazon of all places, and can be seen right here on Amazon’s ‘Water for Elephants’ Store where they also provide information about the Sara Gruen Novel that the movie is based on, as well as provide visitors with an opportunity to sign up to be notified of when the film is available on DVD and Blu-ray. Should you be super enthusiastic and want to sign up even before you see the movie, you can register for the Email Notification immediately.
Based on seeing the trailer myself, and having no knowledge of the story from the book or previous trailers, I must admit I am intrigued with the potential of the film, and it does appear that Pattinson, Witherspoon, and Christopher Waltz deliver a magical silver screen rendition that will be a crowd pleaser hands down. I rarely spend the money on high priced movie tickets and typically wait for movies to come out on video streaming, however, this exceptional trailer has me considering a visit to the theater.
Robert Pattinson leaves Edward Cullen far behind in Water for Elephants.
In this April release, based on a best-selling novel by the same name, the Twilight Saga star portrays a student who runs away from home after his parents die. In search of a new life, he stumbles upon a traveling circus a beautiful woman (Reese Witherspoon) who works there.
The problem? She's the wife of the ruthless circus owner (Christoph Waltz).
Pattinson will be acting opposite a pair of Academy Award winners (and an elephant!) in the drama, one of whom has referred to Rob as really nice and handsome. Think he can match their talent?
20th Century Fox has released a new trailer for Francis Lawrence‘s Water for Elephants, and it’s a beautiful one. The film is based on Sara Gruen‘s bestselling novel of the same title, and centers around a veterinary school student named Jacob (Robert Pattinson) who takes up with a traveling circus during the Great Depression. Along the way, he falls in love with Marlena (Reese Witherspoon), a performer and the wife of head trainer August (Christoph Waltz).
If nothing else, this is going to be one gorgeous movie. There’s no denying that the Depression-era setting and circus imagery look stunning onscreen, and Waltz, Witherspoon and Pattinson make quite an attractive trio as well. Moreover, Lawrence, who also directed Constantine and I Am Legend, seems to have a knack for creating striking visuals.
I’m not too impressed by the story, which sounds like your standard sweeping romantic saga, but the cast seems like it might be strong enough to sell it. Waltz is such a perfect fit for August — he can pull off the combination of charisma and menace like no one else — and Witherspoon is reliably strong. Pattinson is the least tested of the three, but if he does well here, this may be the movie that finally allows his career to move beyond a certain SparkleVamp.
Now, before we get inundated with angry comments from RPatz fans, let’s be clear. The headline above is more a comment on movie marketers who realize the best way to get hearts aflutter of girls and women everywhere and get them to flock to the theaters, is to show endless shots of RPatz being sad, confused or frustrated or some kind of combination of the three. And while we’ll leave our opinions on the movie until we see it, that’s the truth folks, like it or lump it.
Based on the novel by Sara Gruen, Robert Pattinson stars as an aspiring vet who falls in with a traveling circus, and falls in love with the beautiful wife (Reese Witherspoon) of the charismatic but cruel head animal trainer (Christoph Waltz). The film is directed by Francis Lawrence and looks pretty damn beautiful, no doubt assisted by the skills of cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto (”Biutiful,” “Broken Embraces,” “Lust Caution”). As for the story itself we’re still not quite sure what to make of it—there’s a magical realism tone going on here but also one of an overwrought romance—so we’ll have to see how it balances out.
You know the whole forbidden love triangle thing is a whole lot hotter when the dude isn't the same color as a half gallon of nonfat milk dipped in translucent glitter. Here's the new Water For Elephants trailer that debuted last night. It focuses more heavily on Robert Pattinson's character as he risks it all for Reese Witherspoon's character -- a beautiful, unhappily married performer. I think we may just have the rare well-done literary phenom-to-screen gem situation on our hands.
A new Water for Elephants trailer starring Robert Pattinson has just emerged online! Now fans of Robert Pattinson can see even more of what the actor's newest film will entail, and it looks like it could be a great new movie role for him!The newest Water for Elephants trailer (seen here) has been announced via MTV.com. MTV notes it's a much darker trailer than previously seen, but there's much more to it. It shows a good background for the story, which involves Pattinson's character, Jacob, suffering personal tragedy, and running away to join the circus. Along the way, he meets a beautiful woman, Marlena, played by Reese Witherspoon, who happens to be married to an evil man, played by Academy Award winner, Christopher Waltz (Inglorious Basterds).
The new Water for Elephants trailer runs close to 2:30 in length but is well worth it, as there's a variety of great scenes revealed. Everything from sexy images of Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon embracing, to the madman antics of Waltz' villainous character, and the chaos of the circus animals can be seen! This will be quite a departure for Pattinson from Twilight but should be a welcome one and could help strengthen his acting resume even more.
Are you ready to see Water for Elephants starring Robert Pattinson? Will this new movie role help further his career or hurt it?

Robert Pattinson heats up the screen in Water for Elephants
I’m going to admit something here that might not make Robert Pattinson fans too happy: Robert Pattinson doesn’t do anything for me in the Twilight saga.
To me, he’s just a pale little kid. I see him in any of the Twilight movies, and all I can think of is him in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire: a decidedly not-hot role for Robert Pattinson.
But, after watching the Water for Elephants trailer?
Robert Pattinson isn’t just a teen idol any more- he’s evolved into a grown-up hottie! And his chemistry with Reese Witherspoon….wow.
